Jonathan Underhill was born and raised in Christchurch. He graduated with a B.A. degree in English from Victoria University in 1987. He is a journalist who has worked for the Auckland Star, The Dominion, Sunday Star-Times, National Business Review, and Trans-Tasman News. He worked for the Bloomberg News for 13 years and was their New Zealand Bureau Chief and a Top news editor for Asia. He currently co-owns, writes and edits at Content Ltd., which produces the BusinessDesk (formerly BusinessWire in NZ) newswire. Content Ltd. also produces a range of specialist material on agriculture, transport, the economy, financial markets, energy and the environment which clients can publish on their own platforms or publications.
